Teenagers can be hard to shop for, choosing the right birthday gift can require trying to catch up with what your teenager loves. Here are some great birthday gift ideas.

If you think back to your teenage years, although your taste may have been much different, you may recollect how much music made an impact on your life. Some birthday gift ideas for a teenager would include anything that involves music. A gift card for purchasing music online or at a local store may tickle your teenagers fancy. If they are interested in a particular instrument you can buy them an instrument or music that accompanies the instrument that they play (your local music store may be able to recommend music that is popular with teenagers). If the teenager does not have an MP3 player you may want to get them one. MP3 players come in a wide range of styles and price ranges, you should be able to find one that won’t break the bank.

Another great birthday gift idea for a teenager is video games or video game consoles. The Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 are very popular. They also make handheld gaming devices such as the PSP and the Nintendo DS. There are a wide range of video games available some are even educational and fun!

No teenager ever wants a grown up to pick out their clothes, consider a nicely wrapped gift card to their favorite clothing store as a birthday gift.
