gifts-for-hospital-stayHospital stays are usually not a cause for celebration (unless there is a precious baby involved, in that case you will probably want to look into baby gifts). You can give a hospitalized friend or family member thoughtful gifts that to make their stay more comfortable.

A plush robe – Hospital gowns are not the most attractive attire and can be downright embarrassing. Having something nice to cover up in would be a gift that is greatly appreciated.

Cute pajama bottoms – Sometimes the hospital will let you wear your own bottoms with the hospital gown, some cute, comfortable, thoughtful, or silly pajama bottoms may be in order.

A blanket – Hospitals can be a chilly place and the blankets on the bed don’t tend to be super comfortable, so a nice fuzzy or comfy throw blanket would make a great gift!

Snacks – Hospital food doesn’t tend to be the best thing in the universe. If the patient is allowed to have outside food, a grab bag of their favorite munchies is certain to put a smile on their face.

Nice lotion – A nice bottle of their favorite lotion is sure to make a great gift for a friend in the hospital, and make them feel just a little more at home.
