Homemade bath salts can make a great homemade gift. Combine them with our homemade bath bombs and you can create a wonderful bath gift basket.

How to make homemade bath salts for gifts.

You’ll need:

• Epson salt
• Sea salt
• Baking Soda
• 1 or 2 teaspoons of glycerin
• Coloring
• Fragrance oil

How to Make Homemade Bath Salts

1. Mix one cup of epsom salts, with 1/4 cup of sea salt, and two or three tablespoons of baking soda. A little more or less of each ingredient is fine.

2. Once the dry ingredients are mixed you can add the scented oils and the coloring (the coloring is not required). You can also add herbs such as lavender or some oatmeal (not the instand kind).

3. Let dry for a day and place in plastic bags tied with festive ribbon or yarn or place in jars you can typically purchase at a local craft store and decorate with ribbon.
